Set up
To set the board you just need to get out the board and set the “player” piece at the first black dot, take out the dice and cards and set them to the side to use as a reference instead of looking at the rules. Attacking The combat for the board game will be based around the roll of a dice and what the player has chosen to do. If the player rolls an odd number their attack will go first if the player rolls an odd number then the “enemies” attack will go first. If the player rolls a 5 they will do a heavy attack and if the “enemy” rolls a 5 they'll do a heavy attack for twice the damage. Sneaking For the sneak mechanic in Vendetta the way it works on the board is as follows. Before combat the player will have a chance to roll the dice, if they want to sneak they need to roll a 5 or a 6 and then they avoid combat. If the player gets a 4 or under when rolling they lose the sneak option and have to start a fight. Healing The third mechanic is the option to heal in or out of combat the healing that the player will receive will scale off of the number rolled so the higher number the more healing, the numbers will be shown on the card for healing. For outside combat healing it's the same thing: just roll a dice and it will scale up. Movement: The player will move based on the value of the dice roll, each black dot counts as one space so roll a 2 you go 2 spaces forward, when you run into an enemy you stop any movement and proceed into sneak or combat phase. There are two paths, a player can choose which one they want to go on. Goal: The goal is to get to the end of the board to the chest after defeating the enemies on your path. |
